I have had plenty of art experiences in the past considering that I am in art three now. I have enjoyed everything that I have done in the past, and what I am doing now. I did have a few struggles this year with a couple of the assignments, and even more struggle in the past considering I didn't know what I know today. Although I have had plenty of struggles, I still couldn't have been happier with the outcome of some of the projects and I wouldn't trade this class and all that I have learned for anything.
During this semester, I learned that when it comes to fine detail, you must be patient and realize that it’s going to take some time. If you rush through the detail and shading then it’s not going to turn out as good as you want it to be.
I also learned how to blend one color with black and white, and bring out the high and low lights with paint, like you would if you were shading.
I believe that I have improved on a lot of things this semester. I have improved my drawing skills over the course of the summer and this semester by far. Also, i have improved on my painting from previous years, which was dang near terrible. I have also improved on adding detail into my projects instead of them just being one dimensional.
The think that I am looking forward to the most for next semester is definitely clay. I love working with clay even tho it is very messy and dries out my hands. I just like playing around with it and making different things because there is a big selection of things that you could create with clay.
