Something i found interesting was that Huck was smart enough to think about escaping, when he actually started to like it there better than with the Widow. A take away from these chapters was if your pap is always blackout drunk, it's easy to escape while he's away. The question i have, is why didn't Huck escape right away when he first found the canoe?? If i were him, i would have been out of there right away, I don't care if i didn't have any supplies with me, I would be gone faster than a roadrunner.
I like this book so far, it is just a little hard to read and comprehend if you do not follow along with any audio of the book. Something you could take away is how he lives his life with his friends. One thing i do not understand is how Huck can get away with all the things he has done. When i was younger, my mom would wash my mouth out with soap if i just said the word stupid, who knows what she would have done if i would have said the "N" word.
