In chapter 31 Huck said that he was letting on to give up sin, but that he was holding on to the biggest one of all inside of him. During his time that may be true, but during our time, he would be doing the right thing by not writing to Jim's owner. So my question is, why can't he pray a lie????? I know it isn't the right thing to lie to god, but i'm pretty sure that people do it on a daily basis. If he would have prayed a lie i don't think it would have made that much of a difference considering he doesn't seem like God is a priority in his life in the first place.
The thing that i liked most was that Huck didn't right that letter to Miss Watson and give away Jim's location. To me that shows honor and good friendship, and to have a good friendship, you need honor and respect between friends.
The main take away i got from these chapters were don't leave your "N word" with strangers that you barely even know because he's most likely going to be stolen.
